Leyland Cypress Trees are a ast-growing, drought-resistant evergreen. A Leyland Cypress is a cross between the Nootka and Monterey Cypress, combining the dense oliage, hardiness and rapid growth into one easy-to-grow plant. Most trees average 3 eet o new growth each year, regardless o soil conditions. The Leyland Cypress is known or thriving in nearly any conditions and can be grown in 5 through 9. As the tree grows, it naturally takes on a pyramidal shape without additional pruning. Mature trees can reach up to 90 eet in height, though 60 to 70 eet is more common. Most measure 15 to 25 eet in width at peak height. I the ast-growing nature o the tree and supreme hardiness isn't impressive enough, the Leyland Cypress Tree is also renowned or its beauty.
